We are delighted to share the very special oatmeal granola recipe from Olofée Farm, lovingly prepared by the owners' mother. This granola is not only delicious but also made with the finest oats. ✨
Here is the complete recipe:
Preparation: 15 min
Cooking: about 50 min at 350°
INGREDIENTS
· 1 kg of oatmeal flakes from Olofée farm
· 550 g of homemade nut mix
· 400 g of honey
· ½ lb of butter
· 1 tsp of salt
· 250 g of cranberries or raisins
PREPARATION
1. Take out a mold large enough for baking 2.250 kg of mixture.
2. In a saucepan, melt the butter with the honey over low heat and watch carefully to prevent overflow.
3. Proceed to mix your nuts: e.g., sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, walnuts, pecans, almonds, or any that you have.
4. Combine and mix all the ingredients except for the dried fruits, either in a mixing bowl or directly in your mold.
5. Proceed to bake in an oven at 350°F. Stir after 15 minutes and then every 10 minutes thereafter. Brown to your liking for about 50 minutes. Be sure to protect your hands with oven mitts.
6. Once the mixture is out of the oven, add the dried fruits, not before, as they would become too hard.
You can divide the recipe into 2 or 3.
