INGREDIENTS
- 2 cups of fat or 2 cups of oil and butter
- 3 cups of brown sugar
- 3 eggs
- 2 cups of sour milk
- 1 teaspoon of lemon juice in the milk
- 3 teaspoons of vanilla
- Optional: almond extract or amaretto
- 7 cups of oatmeal
- 4 cups of white flour
- Optional: half whole wheat flour half white flour
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 2 teaspoons of baking soda
PREPARATION
- Mélanger le gras, le sucre, l’essance et les oeufs ensemble.
- Then mix the oats, flour, salt, and baking soda together.
- Incorporate the dry ingredients into the egg mixture alternately with the milk.
- Let rest for 15 minutes
- Cook for 12 to 15 minutes at 350° F.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Christmas Cakes
Add 1 cup of chocolate chips + ¾ cup of coconut. On top, add 1 teaspoon of cranberry jelly and sliced almonds.
